american mcgee’s little red riding hood concept art
March 6th, 2010 Posted in Design, Digital Art, GamesHave we all been reasonably excited about the new Alice in Wonderland movie? Good! Now let’s have nightmares about it:
In 2000, American McGee twisted Alice Liddell’s dream world of Wonderland into a terrifying delusion–she becomes asylum-bound after witnessing her family die in a fire, and falls into a nightmare-laden coma. If only she hadn’t left her lamp on, she wouldn’t have had to blame herself!
But I, for one, enjoyed their perversion of what is one of my favourite childrens’ stories of all time.
They’ve done it again, but this time to Little Red Riding Hood! Here’s some of the concept art.

Aside from that, I’m looking forward to Alice 2. Poor thing, though, you’d think they would have given her a break after what she went through in the first game.
